Hi Everyone.
Some of you may not want to know the info below, but if you're interested in knowing what's been going on with me, I thought I would tell you. If you write to me, I will try to write to you later, but I'm mainly concentrating on getting healthier, so will just say a big thank you to each of you right here for now.
I think my dA friends are wonderful and I appreciate your support and help very much!
I'm so happy and grateful to be home and feeling more improved in my health everyday! I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and 6 days...had septicemia (infection throughout my body) complicated by my lupus and blood abnormalities. (I've had lupus for many years, the blood problems since Jan 08). I had 2 blood transfusions and surgery to remove an abcessed lymph node under my arm. My hematologist (treats blood problems) in Regina (nearby larger city) gave me good news yesterday that he doesn't think I have lymphoma, but my docs still don't know what is wrong with me. My husband brought me home last night, then I had to go back to Regina this morning for my appointment with my rheumatologist (treats lupus). The docs had been telling me my health problems weren't lupus, but now they are considering it could be lupus. I have had my prednisone (steroid) increased and a more potent immunosuppressive drug was added (used for treating cancer, but it's for lupus not cancer). I will go back in 2 weeks, to see if my tests are better.
All the best to each one of you...keep up your terrific art and photos...I will be watching when I can.
Marianne
